I love the Seduced Saga by the lovely duo Karpove Kinrade. Book 1 starts with Rose a witch . She has a power that has secluded her entire life. Living in the shadows for fear of hurting the ones she loves by a single touch And she can never have a physical relationship with a man. Cover ran by her mother is also being attack by the druid shifters near. One night they attack and rose fears for her mother's life. Going against her beliefs she uses her dark power and sends a wolf into a coma state. So she hides in the shadows until one day her and her friend Ocean decide they need self defense classes.sneaking off the grounds they go to the local martial arts facility.Enters the amazingly handsome Derek. He is the instructor and boy he is gorgeous. Little do they both realize that they are enemies.
Derek is the son of the leader of druids. He has been away not wanting to follow in the footsteps of his father. He is away making money as he goes town to town but returns when his father calls and says his brother has been hurt. He comes home to find his brother in a comatose state and stays to help and takes his job back at the martial arts studio.when they see each other it's love at first sight. Rose is scared because she can't have a relationship but with the advice of her best friend she says yes to a date.
The witches prepare for a battle to steal the druids power source without that they can't hurt them but roses mom had a hidden agenda.putting the powers of the coven into Blake he can get close to find where it's at. And finds out that rose and Derek are in love. Blake has always had a thing for rose.
So as the fighting continues what happens at the big battle when they release who each other are? Will they uncover the secrets and save their love or will it be destroyed. Can they get passed her power and conflicting ways or will it be to much to get over? Come start the fight these two have to be together will it be there love that saves it all or the power she possess and the fued that keep them apart.

Whew!! Talk about a hot one!

It’s relatively short at only 232 pages but this is packed with seduction and oozes sexiness! First of all, Derek, man! The description of Derek makes me want to fall in love or jump him, or both! So I can understand Rose’s need to be close to him. Especially since, seriously, this gal has some issues!

Rose is an interesting character with a very interesting secret. Sadly she kills people but not on purpose. She has a power that she cannot control and that has affected her entire life. As I am sure you can imagine. Derek has some issues of his own. He comes from a wealthy family but he doesn’t want to be seen as the wealthy son. He wants to make it on his own.

Oh, and of course they are star crossed lovers. Their love is forged through two enemies. Sadly, they two of them do not know it yet!

There is so much to the plot of this story, and to Derek and Rose getting to know each other. I could not put it down. I loved every word! Although I think Rose puts herself into some horrible situations. I understand the how and why of it and it is easy to judge from the outside, but she doesn’t always make the best choices. I can say the same for Derek too. They are really just trying to figure out who they are so I’m giving them a pass at the idiocy of some of their choices.

Especially since, when these two meet, sparks fly! It gets hot and passionate!

In short I am really looking forward to the next in the series. This ends on a cliff hanger and there is no telling where Derek and Rose will find themselves next!

I had been reading Kimberly Kinrade for almost a year when this series first came out. She warned us that this New Adult series was going to be hot, but I wasn't quite expecting this! When I started reading New Adult books, I was still thinking YA, but with older characters and more adult situations back in those days. I really didn't expect ADULT situations! It almost felt out of place at first, but I think that is because I had been reading mostly her chapter books for kids at the time.

Once I readjusted my thoughts on Kimberly writing explicit sex scenes in her book, I was okay with it. I actually really like this story and had been pulled in from the first chapter teaser that she gave us when she started writing the book.

Derek and Rose are a modern day paranormal Romeo and Juliet. They are completely drawn to each other, physically, emotionally, mentally, and in a sense spiritually. They feel the completeness and very quickly fall in love. Only they don't realize that they are sworn enemies. The reader knows it from almost the very beginning, making you almost squirm with discomfort, knowing that their worlds are about to explode when they find out.

Their other unique problem is that they hardly dare to consummate their relationship, because Rose could literally kill him with her bare hands. She's afraid that he will hate her when he finds out. He is worried about revealing his true identity. But both of them think that the other one is "normal" and just won't understand what life is like having special powers. Apart of me was yelling in my head to just be honest with each other, already! Save yourselves the drama later on down the road! But for some reason, they just didn't listen to me...

This book is novella length, which makes it a quick and easy read. Chapters alternate with each character narrating from his or her point of view, and not just Derek and Rose. Their story is only just getting started and I can't wait to find out what else happens.
