This is fun debut novel that grabs the reader and doesn't let go! I was surprised at how engrossing this book was from the very beginning. Although in retrospect I'm a sucker for boarding school stories and orphan/mistaken identity coming of age tales and modern fantasy elements and this novel has them all. I would recommend this for readers who have enjoyed any number of YA books including the Harry Potter series, Libba Bray's Gemma Doyle trilogy or even Adriana Trigani's Viola in Reel Life. OMG! Thought I'd just read a few chapters before bed.....the next thing I knew, I couldn't stop reading and it was done the next morning! YA not is generally not my genre, but this had me from the first few pages. Can't wait for Laurel McKinley's next book.......
Enjoyed this book immensely -- I was caught up in the story from the first page. The author really made the characters come alive; I felt as if I knew each one of them. I don't normally read this genre and was very pleasantly surprised. Can't wait to see what happens in the next episode of the trilogy!
This story grabbed me from the beginning and I had trouble putting it down. I am most definitely looking forward to the rest of the trilogy!
Great book. Echos is an easy read that dips into both the romance and fantasy genres. There is enough Christianity in the book that I wouldn't be surprised to find Echos in a Cristian book store, but it never gets preachy. I'll be watching for book 2.
Great mystery, action and story. Can not wait to read the novellas and rest of the trilogy. I enjoyed the characters and strength of the heroine.
Picked this book up on recommendation of a friend. It's not my usual genre, but the characters came to life and I had to know the end of the story! Can't wait for Echos In Ice!
Loved this book!! When I started reading I had to finish it, couldn't put it down. Loved the surprises that I wasn't expecting which made me gasp in shock! Love to read a book that makes me get that involved. Can't wait to read the next one!
